Discover Demorest Real Estate

The quiet city of Demorest is located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Surrounded by lush forest and rolling hills, this gorgeous community makes for an idyllic, rural lifestyle. Many who move to Demorest are tired of big-city living, and either purchase a second home for time away, or a full-time residence for total immersion.

When it comes to real estate in Demorest, the market comprises single-family homes and vacant land for sale. Although this area is known for its desirable cabins, these are rarer to find in Demorest. Instead, much of the real estate has been constructed in more traditional architecture, which includes Cape Cod, Ranch, and Craftsman. Any cabins in this area lean traditional in style, with vinyl siding as opposed to the typical wood exteriors.

Demorest mixes older properties and new construction homes. Recent builds are often built in Craftsman and other traditional styles, and stone is a common material in exteriors. In contrast, older properties are typically Cape Cod or Ranches, and offer homebuyers both bungalow and multi-story options. Brick homes are also a popular home style in this city. The real estate market in Demorest attracts a lot of interest from buyers, for homes are typically much more affordably priced than surrounding cities. Large homes with ample square footage and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms can be found in the $500,000 and $600,000 price range.

For those seeking a little bit of luxury, Demorest also offers some gorgeous waterfront homes. While large, private lots are a common feature of Demorest properties, some of the most exclusive homes for sale (many of which are new construction) are located on the city’s ponds.

As Demorest expands, new neighborhoods pop up. There are four in total in Demorest. Habersham Meadows is an established neighborhood that has seen a lot of continuous expansion over the years. These beautiful homes are located on the hillside, with forest on all sides. Part of the reason that these neighborhoods are so desirable is because they offer privacy to their residents, but are just a short distance away from the city center.
